Welcome!
On behalf of all the members of the Sourdough Chapter I want to welcome you to our official website. Sourdough has the honor of not only being Montana's first chapter but its largest! We are located in the city of Bozeman, named for pioneer John Bozeman and the gateway to Yellowstone National Park. While our members are located as far east as Billings and as far west as Missoula, we have been an active chatper since our creation in 1972, honoring Montana patriots, students at Montana State University and Eagle Scouts in our area. We have regular meetings throughout the year at different places around and near Bozeman.
The Sons of the American Revolution is the leading male lineage society that perpetuates the ideals of the war for independence. As a historical, educational, and patriotic, non-profit corporation organized under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, we seek to maintain and expand the meaning of patriotism, respect for our national symbols, the value of American citizenship, and the unifying force of "e pluribus unum" that was created from the people of many nations -- one nation and one people.
